What You Have Seen

The book of Revelation goes through three phases – past, present, and future – with most of the focus obviously spent on the future.  Nevertheless, the book opens by discussing what has already happened with regard to Christ.  There is also some background information presented, identifying John as the writer and the seven churches of Asia minor as the recipients.  All of this takes place in Revelation 1.
